Keep your feline friend safe from serious diseases with a personalized vaccination plan.
Vaccinations are a preventative healthcare measure that protects your pet against a range of otherwise harmful diseases. Our clinic stands behind vaccines as a safe and effective way to prevent the transmission of diseases like feline leukemia or rabies. If your pet doesn’t have an up-to-date vaccination plan, please contact us at 403-253-7044.
There aren’t any definitive or heavily researched alternatives to vaccines. Vaccinations are heavily regulated and undergo various tests to ensure they’re safe for your pet. Since the start of our practice, vaccines have helped pet parents be proactive in lowering or eliminating the risk some diseases can pose. We only use vaccines we trust will be good for your pet’s health, including ingredients certified to safeguard your pet. Please share any concerns you have with your team, who are more than happy to answer any questions or concerns.
Vaccination plans are tailored specifically to your pet’s needs. Vaccines are divided into two categories: core and non-core. Core vaccines are essential for your pet’s health, as mandated by regulatory boards. Non-core vaccines are specific to your pet’s needs, depending on the likelihood of them contracting specific diseases. We recommend kittens start getting vaccinated around 8-weeks old against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.
We recommend the following core vaccines for your feline friend:
